Acoustic Guitar Lessons are Easy

So you want some acoustic guitar lessons? Playing acoustic guitar is not that different than playing electric guitar and especially in the beginning it doesn't matter what kind of guitar you play because you will be learning the same basic stuff. Sure, they sound different, but they work the same way. Depending on the guitar, acoustic can be more difficult than electric just because it is a bit more differently physically. Especially with a cheap acoustic guitar the action can be too high for a beginner and the strings might also be hard to press down.

Many of my students are between ten and fifteen years old. Especially the younger ones come in with giant dreadnaught acoustic guitars and they can barely hold the thing let alone reach the neck comfortably. So be sure that when you're ready for acoustic guitar lessons you have a guitar that's right for you and not hard to hold or play.

When you first start out with acoustic guitar lessons you'll learn things like what the strings are called, how to pick the strings, and for sure some beginner guitar chords. Don't get stuck in first position though.

Even if you don't stick with it, taking acoustic guitar lessons can be a lot of fun.
